Recording with Ironheart IRT Studio

Postby Jim18 » Tue Jun 26, 2018 8:12 pm

Hi everyone.
I just got Ironheart Irt studio. I'm in love with this axe!

I have one question. Hope a friend here can help :) thank you.

About the tone.

When recording directly to a pc or notebook, we can use Usb or the DI out - cabinet emulated in a audio interface, right?

Ok.

The question is:
Is the any difference in the tone recorded or both will give me the same tone/result?

Thank you guys for helping.

I'm not sure exactly. However, what I do know is the USB interface outputs two signals, wet (with effects) & dry (without effects) that should be configurable in your DAW. The DI output would also be a wet signal. But, I don't know if it sounds the same as the USB wet. Do a check on youtube, there are quite a few videos on it there. For a faster response you could also ask on the FaceBook pages:

Thank you man! I will check those links.
I watched some videos on youtube but there where no mention about how it was recorded. Most of them where with Usb and all about the reamp process.

Welcome to the forum. Why not just try both methods for yourself? Hope you enjoy recording with your new amp.
