UK LC50 for US use

Postby twangjunkie » Fri Feb 16, 2018 2:37 pm

I am new to Laney and I have a question on best way to use my UK LC50 112 in the USA, I do not plan to relocate to the UK so I was thinking about replacing the transformer so I wouldn’t have to use an external step up transformer, any help would be appreciated. I am blown away by the sound of this amp.

Welcome aboard the Laney train!
Take it to a reputable amp repair shop. They can tell you if your power transformer can be modified to US power. Some can by simply using different sets of wires coming out of the transformer. If not, they can probably order and install a US version transformer.
