Old Laney LC30

Postby swiri » Thu Sep 20, 2012 9:48 pm

Hi all,

I have a UK made Laney LC30 Valve amp. Its pretty old. Maybe 20 years or so. Anyone know how much an amp this old in pretty good working condition is worth?

Also the volume knob is a bit messed up and doesn't work too well would like to get it fixed.

Would any standard Potentiometer work in this unit? Someone told me that it needs replacing. I know nothing about amps/electronics I just play them! I love this amp and it still sounds great!

Thanks,
Sarah

Hi Sarah, the answer to your front control problem is yes a good quality standard pot will do the job and fitting should be done via your local tech if your unsure how to install it.

Check out local sites on best price you might get £140 if your lucky..
Get it checked to ensure all the valves are working as they should has sometimes valves can go low due to age/ useage..

Regards T .
