Lc50 112 with a poorly heater circuit

Postby Demontron » Fri Mar 09, 2012 7:45 pm

Hi folks , I have a problem with my lc 50 112 , ( the one with the 6 valves all in a line ) , the valves light up when switched on but slowly die off after about ten seconds , the tx o/p stays constant but the heater voltage drops to .6v at the valve bases , has anyone any ideas , I've tried replacement valves. , just the same , Also has anyone got a schematic , I have asked laney , but as yet not had a reply , any info please email me . Alexmee@aol.com cheers

update : I've diagnosed it down to the poly fuse on the output of the heater winding , I assume it's a six amp rating , my heaters draw about 7.4 amps on switch on dropping to about 4.5 A but the fuse still cuts power , is it faulty ?? Or should my heaters be drawing less current ?? Back to you guys
