FIRST EVER SUPERGROUP?

Postby mastervolume » Mon Feb 01, 2010 7:48 am

I have what I believe must be one of the first if not THE first Laney 60-watt head. Everything looks hand-made including the aluminium chassis and the turret board. Radio Spares pots, filter caps, and other off-the-shelf parts. Both loudspeaker outputs have the same large 3-pin Bulgin sockets as the mains input. I got it a couple years ago from NY city. If anyone has an older one, I'd like to see it. really.

Here's mine. Bulgin speaker sockets have been replaced with 1/4" jacks.

Yes, just like that one. Any documented info on dating these? The circuit board on mine looks more rough-cut and the power supply resistors are carbon comp. Mine has chicken knobs on D-shaft pots.
