MXR dist + through clean channel?

Postby Dr.Mavashi » Wed Apr 18, 2007 7:17 am

Ok, so I've got an Laney AOR which does not have channel switching option, I love the overdrive pushing the cranked pre-amp tone, I was listening to MRX dist +, and I must admit, I love it because it sounds like a cranked up tube pre-amp pushed with an overdrive. Amazing, best single note clarity from a distortion pedal I've heard. So, I was wondering in case in a future I have to do a tune where I switch back and fourth between hi-gain and cleans, you know, like a sissy balad or something, would MXR + through a low sensitivity input give me the same type of saturation as TS9 does through a high sensitivity?

Should be pretty close to it. I use an arrangement like that when i need to switch back n forth-also it allows for much lower volumes for playing around the house. Give it a shot u might like it.
